Our Annual Black History Month Celebrates Delaware Trailblazers

A Celebration of African Culture, the 2024 Black History Month kick-off celebration will explore the deep impact of Delaware African trailblazers through performances, demonstrations, history displays, and more. This event will also feature information tables and merchant vendors.

Groundhog Golf is Back!

Our annual challenge to winter with golf! Grab your buddies and your clubs and come out for a fun morning of golf. 12-hole, 2-person, superball/scramble. Entry fee includes greens fees, morning snack, and hot lunch. The winning team gets an award and official Groundhog Golf golf shirts. Golf carts will be available for rental. Registration is Now Open for Our Spring Flag Football Youth League

New Castle County is excited to offer co-ed youth flag football leagues at Delcastle Recreational Park. Divisions are split by age with tup to ten players per team. All players will be given an equal opportunity to play. A reversible jersey with NFL team colors and logo and an NFL flag belt are included with registration. Call for Entries - NCC HeARTed

It is time for the 6th Annual NCC heARTed Art Contest with a new twist! Create a piece of art portraying a scene from an adventure (real or imagined) using a graphic arts style. What are graphic arts? They can include anything from anime and manga to comics and illustrations – created by hand or digitally. All submissions are due by Tuesday, April 2. The 2024 theme is inspired by this year’s NEA Big Read book "The Best We Could Do".

A class for the newcomer and the seasoned yogi. Poses are adapted to suit individual needs. We will focus on moving the body in various planes of movement to promote healing and restoration. Zumba at Whitehall Rec Center

Zumba Fitness is a program that combines Latin and international music with dance moves. It incorporates interval training alternating fast and slow rhythms to help improve cardiovascular fitness. Zumba Toning uses lightweight toning sticks to enhance rhythm and tone all their target zones, including arms, abs, and thighs. It combines body sculpting exercises and high-energy cardio work to create a calorie-torching, strength-training fitness party!

Instructional camp for beginning to intermediate skateboarders. A skateboard, helmet, elbow pads, and knee pads are required to participate in this camp. Campers should bring their water bottles and towels. We are now accepting vendor applications for the 4th Annual Art Fest Outdoor Art Fair in The Town of Whitehall from artists, crafters, and homemade vendors. Art Fest at Whitehall will take place Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 10 am-2 pm (Rain Date: Sunday, April 28, 2024, from 10 am-2 pm) in the Town of Whitehall, 801 Mapleton Ave, Middletown, Delaware 19709.
