Exhibit of Historic Solar Eclipse Photographs @ Moriches

3/12 - 4/10

When photography debuted in the 19th century, it profoundly changed science. Impartial observation, critical to scientific method, was supported by photography and as cameras "saw" the world differently, new worlds were revealed to scientists. In astronomy, solar eclipses provided the backdrop for groundbreaking discoveries such as helium and Albert Einstein's Theory of Relativity.
