MasticCon is back for its 3rd year. Join us at the new Moriches Branch on Saturday, May 6th, as we show our love of anime, cosplay, manga, and comics. We’ll have your favorite characters, arts and crafts for all ages, a dragon egg hunt, vendor sales, and more! Costumes are encouraged.

Response Presentation @ Mastic Beach

Attend a presentation about Suffolk County’s Response Crisis Center and earn one hour of community service. This program discusses Response as a resource, warning signs of suicide, barriers to reaching out and coping tools.

Crochet & Knitting Circle @ Moriches

Crocheters, knitters, and yarn crafters! Bring your own yarn project and work on it with Ms. Erica. This is not an instructional program. For grades 6 through 12 only. This is a drop-in program. No registration is necessary.

Senior Advocate @ Mastic Beach

A representative from the Suffolk County Office of the Aging will meet one-on-one to discuss different benefits and programs available to senior residents.  The Advocate is available on a walk-in basis. No appointment required.

Boating Safety Course @ Mastic Rec

This Boating Safety Course offered by the US Coast Guard Auxiliary is an introductory course that fulfills Federal and NY State requirements to operate a personal watercraft and recreational vessel on NY waterways for ages 10 years and older.  Upon completion you will receive a Boating Safety Certificate. There is $50 fee for the 8-hour course which includes a Boat America study guide that will be mailed prior to the course. Open to all.
