Once again, the Mission Board is working with Community for New Direction to support recent high school graduates as they pursue their dreams of being the first generation in their family to attend college. This year, we are helping two deserving young people who will benefit from your generosity to fulfill their college needs wish lists.

Click here to sign up to donate and for more details. Please bring your donations to church by Sunday, July 28.

The Mission Board is thankful for your help. Feel free to contact Rita Longardner if you have any questions.

Chris was an active member of CND's Future Opportunities Created for Urban Students (FOCUS) program for the past four years where he learned leadership and essential life skills. He participated in many service projects and worked at CND's summer camps.

He is graduating from Central Crossing High School and the Southwestern Career Academy where he studied Engineering and Robotics. He will attend The Ohio State University to study Computer Engineering with the long-term goal of working for a big tech company.

Lizbeth has been a part of CND since she was six years old, initially attending their summer camps. For the past four summers, assisted in the very same day camps that shaped her childhood. Her continued involvement with CND is a testament to the impact this organization had on her life.

She is a senior graduating from the South-Western Career Academy as well as a Columbus State Community College student. She will attend Otterbein University and pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Fall Hike - September 14

On Saturday, September 14, join your church family to hike Conkle's Hollow in beautiful Hocking Hills! For the more adventurous hiker, the rim trail encircles the top of the gorge with great views from the cliff's edges, but other parts of Conkle's Hollow are designated wheelchair and ADA-accessible, so no matter your age, mobility, or fitness level - we welcome all!

Carpooling from the church at 1:30 PM, we will journey to Conkle's Hollow and enjoy some time on the trail, then dine together at the Olde Dutch Restaurant in Logan before heading back to Westerville.

Questions? See Amy McKibben or any member of the Parish Life Board.

Our High School and Middle School youth groups are going to Cedar Point on Monday, July 29! We'll meet at the church at 9 AM and will be home by 9 PM. Hope your child can join us for a day of fun! Parents/grandparents are welcome to join us.

Do you love kids? Would you like to hold a baby? We're looking for adults who would like to volunteer once every other month in the church nursery with the "little ones" during worship. Please get in touch with Lyn Kiger for more information! Or stop by the church nursery - we have all the fun!

The Board of Christian Education is also looking for Sunday School teachers for the fall. You will be provided with a lesson plan and will have a teaching partner, so you will have fun with kids and adults! With enough volunteers, it would involve one Sunday a month.

To volunteer in the Nursery or Sunday School, you must be a church member for at least six months. Contact Marilyn Waldsmith for more information!
