Dear Beloved of God,
As Episcopalians, we value scripture, tradition and reason. The Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal church sets the tone for the rest of the church. Bishop Curry did so over the last 9 years by calling us back to Love - no matter what ,and hosting revivals across the country. He showed us what that looked like in countless ways beginning with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding. I give thanks for his 9 years of service and leadership. Please join me in giving thanks to God for him and his family.
On Wednesday, The Rt. Rev. Sean Rowe, bishop of Northwest Pennsylvania and bishop provisional of Western New York, was elected and confirmed at the 81st General Convention to serve as the 28th presiding bishop.

Phil and Christy Koury will be hosting again this year at their home 23 Bayou Road. Greeting friends will begin at 5:30.

Water and lemonade will be provided.
Needed are:
If you are unable to bring food, please contribute $$ to reduce the cost of franks and buns.
Please bring your outdoor chairs for viewing the fireworks.
If hot dogs are not included in your diet, please feel free to bring what you prefer to eat (enough for yourself and your guests).
The Brotherhood will be cooking at the Koury’s.
If you are staying for the fireworks, please plan to stay for a few extra minutes after the show to help with clean up.
This is a great time for our church family to get together for a fun time! Mark it on your calendars now!

Food Basket Volunteers Needed
This Saturday, June 29, 8-10am
1 Wesley Dr., Clute
We expect to be very busy on Saturday at The Food Basket. On Tuesday, we provided food to 75 families and we anticipate similar numbers on Saturday. In addition to a possible large number of clients, we are also distributing extra food boxes since we will be closed during 4th of July week. This takes extra volunteers.
If you can volunteer this Saturday, we could use your help. Please reach out to the Griners or Klorers with any questions you might have.

Worship is the Work of the People.
Ministry Volunteers Needed
We need your help to make our worship services go smoothly. This is especially true during the summer when many of our usual volunteers are away on vacation.
No need to do it perfectly, we will train you. Please consider making a sacrifice unto the Lord and serve. Many say I'm too shy, etc. This is a school of love - there is no better place to face your fears!
Please call the church office to volunteer or reach out to the ministry contact person with questions.
Acolytes
Acolytes assist on Sunday in lighting the candles, carrying torches, the Gospel book, or cross in the procession and recession. Adults and youth starting in 3rd grade or above are needed. Contact: Mary Young or Angela McCabe
Chalice Bearers
Chalice Bearers assist during the administration of the Holy Communion by serving the chalice to the communicants at the altar rail.
Contact: Pastor Robin
Altar Guild
Members of Altar Guild prepare the altar and nave for our services. On a typical month, each Altar Guild team meets once every four weeks. On Saturday, we set out everything necessary for Sunday worship.
Contact: Kim Lehnhoff
Sound Technicians
Sound Techs make sure the appropriate microphones are capturing our worship and is easy to hear in the Nave and online. This is done through an iPad app.
Contact: Jay Richardson
Videographers
Videographers stream our worship services to our YouTube channel. This is a much-appreciated option for our shut-ins, those who are unwell, and for our nursery volunteers. This ministry involves setting up the cameras and controlling them through an easy-to-use iPad app.
