This Sunday, worship will return to the main sanctuary.


Immediately following the church service join us in the common room for an Outreach Meeting to plan for the upcoming Concert on the Lawn. The caterer will be there to discuss and plan the menu.

WEDNESDAY BIBLE STUDY

JOYFUL MUSIC


We are grateful to have Derrick Grant joining us to share his musical gifts for the next three Sundays. Derrick was born and raised in Louisville, KY where he first began playing the piano and organ for sung prayer at age 11. He holds a BA in Music from Centre College and has led music for numerous churches throughout the US and England.


Before moving to Washington, DC in 2022, Derrick was the Director of Music Ministries for the largest Episcopal Church in the Diocese of Kentucky. In his free time, he enjoys playing volleyball, exploring Smithsonian Museums, consuming as much art as possible, and hanging out with his cat, His Lordship the Marquis de Lafayette. 

CHOIR REHEARSAL

THU SEPTEMBER 19


Choir rehearsals begin on Thu, Sep 19, at 7pm in the undercroft with our Interim Director, Virginia Sircy. If you have friends or fellow singers who might like to join us, please bring them with you to rehearsal. Rehearsals typically last for an hour, along with a short rehearsal before the Sunday service,

at 9:30am in the choir loft.

BAGELS BEFORE CHURCH

Join us in the Parish Hall for a fellowship breakfast at 9:15am on Sunday morning, September 8. We will share bagels with all the fixings and then worship in the main sanctuary at 10:15am.

The Lunch Bunch will meet at Chaing Mai Thai Restaurant, on Wed, September 11, at noon. Chaing Mai is located at 6828 Old Dominion Dr, Suite C, in McLean.

 

Street parking is available on Beverly Rd. or in the subterranean parking lot off Beverly. Chaing Mai is between Goodyear tires and Sonabank. Please contact Linda Young at (703) 915-1887 or at lindacy1001@gmail.com by September 10, if you plan to attend so a reservation count can be made. Carpool from the church is available.
