Congregational Meeting

June 9 | 9:45am | Sanctuary

The Session has called a meeting of the congregation for Sunday June 9 starting at 9:45am in the Sanctuary for the stated purpose of Receiving the report and recommendation of the Pastor Nominating Committee and to vote on its recommendation to call a new Pastor/Head of Staff for Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church.

Please note that the vote at this meeting will be by written ballot and all covenant partners (members) will need to be present and sign in to receive a ballot.

Members will need to check in at tables in the Narthex to receive their ballot. Ballot check-in will begin following the 8:30am service.

VBS Donation Items Needed:

2-4 Kiddie pools

2 liter bottles

Old beach towels- may not be returned

Inflatable floats: orca whale, shark, crab, beachy - may not be returned

Sand/ beach toys- may not be returned

Pretzels - regular shape for craft

Bugles

Gummi Bears

Volunteer snacks: granola bars, cookies, grab and go snacks, fruit, bottled water, soda

On campus volunteer opportunities: Tuesday, June 4 from 10 am-12 pm and June 5 from 2-4 pm in room 151 beside main kitchen to help prep for VBS.

Please drop donations off at the Main Office.

Thursday night, June 13, we'll have an absolute blast at our Breaker Rock Beach Party! Get ready for an evening packed with games, water inflatables, delicious snacks, and tons of fun for the whole family! Can't wait to see you there!

The Book of Ruth

Join us for a 5 Week Bible Study that accompanies the weekly sermon. The study will be led by Rev. Helen Harrison Ham on Wednesdays at noon in the Fellowship Hall. Bring your lunch and your bible. Recommended book purchase The Gospel of Ruth by Carolyn Curtis James is available in paperback, hardcover, Kindle, and Audiobook options. Purchase your book.

After-School Teachers

SG Child Development Center is in need of 2-3 After-school teachers. The typical hours are Monday-Friday 2:00-5:30pm, with the opportunity for more hours if needed. Wonderful opportunity to connect with families and their children K5-fifth grade. Small class sizes and a chance to make a positive impact in a child’s life.

Saturday, June 8, 8am

Meet at 8am (2nd Saturday of the Month) at the church outdoor patio in front of the Light House and bring a sack breakfast to eat, then leave from there to assist individuals in need.

Compassionate Care Meals

Meal Coordinator

Do you have a heart to care for those in need or going through a difficult time? When a family in the church experiences a hardship, the Compassionate Care Meals Team helps coordinate meals for the family. They are looking for a Meal Coordinator.

The Cradle Cross and Rosebud that will grace our Sanctuary this Sunday will be in honor of the birth of Jimmy Lee, son of Lee and Brie Gonzalez, born on May 12.

We believe prayer is an essential discipline in our practice as believers. If you have a prayer request for your health or an immediate family member, please call the Church Office at 803-359-7770 or email prayer@saxegotha.org. If you would like your request to go to our Confidential Intercessory Prayer Team, please include that in your email.
