Bookstore Pop-up Shop at Donley Center
The LCCC bookstore will be hosting a pop-up shop at the Donley Center in Allentown on Tuesday, Sept. 6, from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. The temporary shop will carry school supplies and LCCC gear. Students interested in ordering books can order them online here and have them sent to the Donley Center where they can be picked up at the front desk. Preferred First Name, Pronouns and Gender Identification
It is easy to change and submit your preferred first name, pronouns and gender to LCCC. Just go to the LCCC portal. Sign in with your LCCC username and password. See the attached step-by-step instructions. If you need technical assistance, go to Student Technology Help Desk.

Fall 2022 Remote Biology Lab
Lab kits for remote biology lab classes are available for pick up at the Schnecksville Main Campus, Science Hall room SH119 from Aug. 15 through Sept. 2 via the following schedule:
Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays: 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 5 - 7 p.m.
Tuesdays & Thursdays: 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Remote lab kits can be sent to Donley and Morgan Center sites for student pick up. Contact Robyn Davis via email at rdavis@lccc.edu for this service. Please note: Last day to pick up the biology remote lab kit is Sept. 2. Photo ID and L# required for pick up.

Don’t forget to get your LCCC Student ID!
It is important. The ID cards are used to access college services — the library, computer labs, testing center, etc. You need it to check out library materials or use the campus gym facilities. If you are not wearing the card by clip or lanyard, you may be stopped by a college official and asked to identify yourself and your purpose on campus. You may be asked to retrieve your card.
And here’s the cool part - in the community, the card can be used for discounts at area eateries like Back Home Bagels and The Red Tomato.
If you are enrolled in at least one class, just bring one (1) valid government-issued photo ID and your college issued L# to the Office of Registration and Student Records located in the Student Services Center, Office 122 at Main Campus or at the Donley or Morgan Centers. See the attached schedule for available times.

Cougar Cabinet Food Distributions – August 25
LCCC will offer food distributions of pre-packed bags of groceries at the Allentown and Schnecksville locations.
Reservations are required. Your reservation enables us to prepare adequate numbers of pre-packed bags for all seeking food assistance. Distributions are free and confidential.
Distribution Dates and Times:
LCCC Allentown - Thursday, August 25 from 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
LCCC Schnecksville - Thursday, August 25 from 2 - 5 p.m.

Jobs on Campus - Apply Now
There are many opportunities to work at LCCC as a student employee. Positions are on-campus and in-person. Most available jobs pay $10.00/hour. We will work around your class schedule!
Eligible students must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits for the fall and have completed a 22/23 FAFSA. Student employees are reimbursed for the costs of background clearances.
More than 20 on-campus positions are currently available for the fall semester. Student employees may begin working prior to the beginning of classes. On-campus jobs are posted online on the LCCC Cougar CLAW website. Examples include:

Fall 2022 Tutoring
The College offers free tutoring to enrolled LCCC students in a variety of subjects.
Face-to-Face tutoring is available at the Schnecksville Campus during Summer Sessions I and II. Labs are open (walk in), so no appointments are needed.
Remote tutoring appointments are booked online by students. LCCC tutors meet virtually through GoBoard or Zoom. Book up to 2 non-consecutive appointments a day for tutoring in the same course.
Smarthinking online tutoring is a 24/7 service free to students. Professional tutors provide both synchronous and asynchronous tutoring. Smarthinking may be accessed by clicking the link on the tutoring homepage in the portal.

Click on the "Forgot Password" button.
- Complete the form by listing your Username/Student ID number which begins with a capital L followed by 8 digits.

An email from "careerservices" containing a link will immediately be sent to your LCCC email account. Within 24 hours of receiving the email, click on the link provided to create a new password. This email is only valid for 24 hours.
- You now have completed the set-up process for your account in The Cougar CLAW!

SNAP and TANF Students!
If you receive SNAP or TANF you may be eligible to receive $1500 yearly in gas assistance to attend classes, $1000 in books and supplies and assistance with school supplies, photocopying and much more!
KEYS (Keystone Education Yields Success) is a grant funded educational program that allows qualified students to receive additional services and support while completing their degree at LCCC. These supports may include assistance with books and supplies, daycare, mileage and car repairs. Visit our website to learn more about the KEYS Program and how it may benefit you! U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development-VA Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) Program
HUD-VASH is a collaborative program which pairs HUD’s Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) rental assistance with VA case management and supportive services for homeless Veterans. These services are designed to help homeless Veterans and their families find and sustain permanent housing and access the health care, mental health treatment, substance use counseling, and other supports necessary to help them in their recovery process and with their ability to maintain housing in the community.
Veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness can call or visit their local VA Medical Center (VAMC) and ask for a Homeless Coordinator. Use the VA locator tool here to find your nearest VAMC.

Help with Rent, Mortgage, and Food
If you are a Lehigh County Resident living in a city outside of Bethlehem and Allentown, you may qualify for help with rent, mortgage, and food. If you want more information, you can call the Casa Guadalupe Center at 610-435-9902.

Students and SNAP
Second Harvest Food Bank, has been working with the Food Access & Policy Council to encourage eligible students to take advantage of the SNAP (Food Stamps) program.
Students can contact the Second Harvest Food Bank SNAP outreach program for assistance with the application process. A SNAP Coordinator will work with students to determine eligibility and help answer any questions.
You can also review Students-and-SNAP-FAQS to help answer frequently asked questions. Even if you believe you do not meet the Student Eligibility Criteria, you are still encouraged to apply and work with a SNAP outreach coordinator to determine your SNAP eligibility.

Experiencing a difficulty with an instructor? Have you spoken with your instructor about your concerns? Sometimes, that is all it takes to clear up misunderstandings, get clarification on expectations, or otherwise talk through a matter that is troubling you in the course. If you have spoken with your instructor and the issue remains unresolved, you can confidentially report your concerns to the MyLink Ombudsman Hotline for further assistance.
