The Rochester Alliance of Communities Transforming Society is an interfaith organization that identifies social justice issues and works for change in our community. Jon Greenbaum, organizer for ROC/Acts, will do a presentation and lead a discussion on the organization’s work.

Food Ingathering - November 13

Consider donating a non-perishable food item this Sunday, November 13th. A collection will take place during the service and donations will go to the Community Food Cupboard. Most needed items include peanut butter, canned beans & proteins, low-sodium soups & stews, brown rice, canned vegetables, whole grain pasta, and whole grain cereal. Let's help provide local seniors and families with nourishing food during these cold months!
A Gentle Reminder: Please remember to check the expiration date on donated items. We want to share healthy, fresh food with our neighbors. Thank you!

NEW PRICES FOR BOOKSTORE: From now on, all purchased books in the church bookstore are half the publisher’s list price, or less. Donated children’s and young adult books are free for the taking. Other donated books are still 50 cents or less, and we still have a free magazine exchange and free stuff in the blue box. The bookstore and library are open in the Clara Barton lounge during coffee hour.
ROC CLIMATE ACTION PLAN: Open House for Rochester's Climate Action Plan. Held at City Hall, 30 Church St, Wednesday, November 9, 6-8 pm. Learn about the plan and share your feedback.
JAZZ CONCERT: Eastman School of Music students will be performing a memorable evening of jazz standards on November 11 at First Unitarian Church, 220 Winton Road South. The concert will benefit schools #22 and #15. Tickets are $10.
