Art Space at the Wright Place - Artist of the Month
Mary Thompson Overman
June 10 - July 8 | The Wright Place, Dining Room
Reception: June 16 | 9:45 - 10:45am
Navarre-based multi-medium artist, Mary Thompson Overman, has been honing her skills in acrylics, fluid art, glam, glass, and resin mediums for over 30 years. Growing up on a small island in Maryland, a fisherman's daughter, her love of the beach and water, influences many of her pieces. In those early years, she also excelled in painting whimsical furniture with a coastal theme. In her fluid art, Mary uses and blends vivid colors to illustrate her artistic eye for the beauty of nature, its uniqueness, and its spirit of freedom. Her one-of-a-kind glam, glass, and resin creations reveal the imagination and magical appeal of this artist. Having lived in the New Orleans area for 25 years, Mary absorbed much of that culture, evident in the color and fluidity that resounds throughout her work. She has participated in numerous local festivals and art shows and is currently going through the process of becoming a vendor in the Pensacola Palafox Market. She is currently open for commissions. Please contact her at mamare7956@gmail.com to share your commission request and learn more about her art processes.
