"Dual Citizenship"

Genesis 3:1-5, Matthew 13:44-46, Luke 9:62

Dave Heydinger

Hey everyone,

Lent is a time of preparation. A time to search our hearts and evaluate our walk with Jesus and our Father. To consider the Holy Spirit and our awareness of that gift and respect of it. This week we will look hard at the sharp side of the gospel. The clarity with which Jesus indicated that there are some hard lines to be crossed and not crossed and that we are expected to be all-in. It doesn’t mean that God’s grace is not beyond measure, nor does it mean His love is anything less than infinite, it certainly is. However, His nature is also perfect, and He is also perfectly just, so we must recognize that as well.

We must remember, especially during Lent, that God and Christ committed to us fully and expects that we do that in return in order to be who He created us to be. It only makes sense, and I think you will see that as we explore that concept. We are going to talk about what it means to be in the Kingdom of God, and how we are to be in it now, for it has come near.

Hope to see you, because this is really important.

Godspeed,

Dave
