November 30 Days of Gratitude!

The month of November brings gratitude to the top of our minds, the link HERE will bring you to a 30-day gratitude journey for everyone to travel this year as we lead up to our Thanksgiving celebrations.

Take some time this month to try living into gratitude, and see how it changes you and your loved ones.

The Canterbury House at Rutgers University

Episcopal Campus Ministries at Rutgers University, on behalf of the Campus Ministry Foundation of the Diocese of New Jersey, cordially invites you to an open house at the Canterbury House in New Brunswick.

We welcome you to come learn more about our ministry, see our newly rehabilitated center, hear some of our history, chat with current members of our board, and meet some of our students. The open house will be held on November 5th from 3 pm – 6 pm. Please RSVP to canterbury.house@rutgers.edu. We hope to see you there!

Choice Food and Resource Center needs YOU!

As we celebrate our stewardship of Christ Church, our congregation, and our larger community, it’s time to bring back a pre-pandemic tradition. In the “before times,” Christ Church used to have a box or basket in the back of the church to receive small offerings of non-perishable food to be used at our Food Pantry. Christ Church is still helping address food insecurity in New Brunswick, we’re just delivering the food a bit closer to where most of our neighbors live.

At this, the Choice Food and Resource Center would greatly appreciate any of the following items:

Canned fish

Canned meat

Cooking oi

Cornmeal

Flour

Shelf-stable juice

Shelf-stable milk

Sugar

October Laundry Love

Our work TOGETHER depends on your support.

Paul Ambos, will be placing a new card order on the morning of Monday, November 6. Please place your orders accordingly. If you place your own order directly on the RaiseRight website or app, he will be able to see it there when he orders the monthly batch.

The next order will be expected to be sent in on December 4. RaiseRight usually offers special low-denomination cards as Christmas approaches, but those have not been seen on their website yet. Check the website for any updates.

You can avoid writing Paul a check by using their payment options through your checking account of credit card (checking costs a 29 cent charge per order; credit cards charge a percentage that is usually more).  And if you want physical cards delivered directly to your home, you can do that through the app, although you will be charged for delivery.  If you order for delivery through Paul, the church covers the delivery charge. The RaiseRight website is https://www.raiseright.com/shop.

Thank you for your support of this parish program.
