Choice Food and Resource Center

Tuesday and Friday appointments served:

280 households consisting of

447 children

750 adults, of whom 73 are senior citizens

for a total of 1,197 individuals.

Families with appointments can also receive diapers, wipes, and sanitary products. Diapers and wipes were provided for 143 babies; sanitary products assisted 95 women. 

Diapers in sizes 4 through 7 are needed and can be left in the back of the church or mailed c/o Ambos, 418 Magnolia Street, Highland Park 08904. We also need sanitary pads, both regular and super.

In addition, approximately 600 families received "grab and go" vegetables, fruits, pastries and canned goods at the Friday open distributions. This does include families that also received food at regularly scheduled appointments, since Friday distributions do not require registration or ID.

We are in great need of volunteers for the third Saturday of the month for the Choice Food and Resource Center, especially this coming Saturday, August 19. If you can help, please call Catherine Ambos

July 10: 28 families including 87 individuals washed 280 loads worth of wash-- approximately 2800 pounds of laundry!

July 12: 10 "sets" of Laundry Love were given to our Outreach partners at University Behavioral Health and Elijah's Promise. Each set can clean 100 pounds of dirty laundry!
