Mayor Sidhu Gives State of the City Address |

The traditional Anaheim State of the City address returned today, July 14, after a two-year hiatus with performances by Mariachi Sol de Mexico Jose Hernandez and, the Anaheim Ballet and announced by ABC7 Phillip Palmer.
Notwithstanding the severe impacts of the pandemic, the mayor had good news to share and pointed to a number of bright spots. Anaheim’s economy is rebounding very strongly as business restrictions have been lifted. Capacity limits on the Disneyland Resort have been rescinded, the Anaheim Convention Center is welcoming trade shows again, and occupancy at Resort Area hotels is rising rapidly.
Under construction or coming soon are development and revitalization projects such as the Duck’s OC Vibe!, the redevelopment of the Angel Stadium site and building out the Platinum Triangle; West Anaheim revitalization spurred by the 39 Commons project, the Disneyland Forward initiative that promises to transform the Resort Area.

This tournament at the Anaheim Hills Golf Course features a four-person scramble, a Player’s Package with contest hole opportunities, and awards to be given to the Putting Contest, Closest to the Pin, Most Accurate Drive, and first, second, and third-place teams overall. Awards will be presented during the After-Golf Mixer. The After-Golf Mixer will be held at the Clubhouse. Non-golfers are encouraged to attend.

On August 18th, members of Congress can learn how they can help. Congressional Startup Day is an opportunity for senators and representatives to experience the innovation and entrepreneurship taking place among their constituents. This year Rep. Dean Phillips, U.S. Representative Young Kim, and Senator Shelley Moore Capito, are the three co-chairs. They hope members of Congress will join them to hear from entrepreneurial constituents on the incredible work they are doing, and about policy ideas that will better enable their work.
