Last week the Anaheim Chamber hosted a webinar with experts from the American Lending Center to discuss the basics of the 2nd Round of Paycheck Protection Program loans. Essential information for securing funds in the latest round of the CARES Act program including; updated regulations for new borrowers, changes for existing PPP borrowers, qualifying for a "Second Draw" Loan, and how to apply was shared. Eviction Moratorium 
Legislation Introduced
State leaders have collaborated with landlord and tenant advocates to introduce legislation extending CA’s eviction moratorium to June 30, 2021. The agreement allocates $2.6 billion to tenants to pay off unpaid rental debt and offers incentives to landlords who forgive tenant debt, among other protections and policies. This legislation will be included in the budget.
Dynamex Is Retroactive: California Supreme Court's Rejection Of The Reasonable Reliance Exception
CalChamber - AB5 drastically altered the classification of independent contractors in California. A recent court decision has extended the liability risk for businesses by ruling that the Dynamex decision is retroactive, opening businesses that acted in good faith to potential litigation.
