Take advantage of the opportunity to share your research at SGNA's 52nd Annual Course, happening June 1-3, 2025, in Pittsburgh, PA. We’re inviting poster abstract submissions in the categories of education and evidence-based practice/research. Poster abstract proposals are due by Monday, November 4.

SGNA’s Infection Prevention (IP) Champions Program is a comprehensive training initiative that equips GI nurses like you with the skills to conduct in-depth unit risk assessments, implement accrediting organizations' survey standards, and master the latest infection prevention techniques. 

The WRITE project is led by the Gastroenterology Nursing Journal (GNJ) editors and helps participants develop an exceptional peer-reviewed article from topic ideation to final publication. 

The workshop consists of quarterly, two-hour virtual sessions and a presentation during a session at the 52nd Annual Course, June 1-3, 2025, in Pittsburgh, PA. The deadline to submit an application is 11:59pm CT on September 20.

SGNA's Transition to Gastroenterology Nursing Practice program, designed by experienced GI nurses, offers a comprehensive online, self-paced course covering essential topics like GI anatomy, endoscopy, infection prevention, and more, aimed at nurses transitioning to the gastroenterology field. Upon successful completion, participants can earn 4.25 contact hours. This course must be completed within 180 days of registration.

Maintaining your CGRN certification is not just important; it's the key to demonstrating unwavering commitment to both your patients and your own professional growth. This certification in Gastroenterology spans five years, starting from your certification or recertification date and concluding on December 31, five years thereafter. This one-day virtual course will provide an overview of key areas related to GI/endoscopy nursing practice. Additionally, tips on how to prepare for the ABCGN Certification Exam will be presented. Please note that specific CGRN certification exam questions will not be presented. Please refer to ABCGN for a full listing of resources. By attending the course, you can earn up to 8.0 contact hours. The course will run from 8:00 AM - 5:15 PM CT.
