Reparations Royalties: Further Discussion

The American Negro Spiritual

Our reparations royalty pilot program seeks to value and elevate the musical contributions of enslaved Africans to American worship and song. Join Minister of Music Adam Waite and special guest Dr. Craig Robertson - live, via zoom - for a conversation about the history of the American Negro Spiritual. Dr. Robertson is our former Children’s Music Director. Presently, he serves as Director of Choral Activities at Mary Baldwin University, Virginia.

Join Dr. Jemar Tisby as Montview’s Distinguished Lecturer on Saturday, November 5, 9am -12pm. Dr. Tisby will lead two sessions on his books The Color of Compromise and How to Fight Racism. Annual Congregational Meeting

On November 13 at 12:00pm we'll be holding our annual congregational meeting in the Miller Center. During this meeting, we'll elect new officers and provide church updates. This meeting requires a quorum of the congregation. Mark your calendar and plan to join us on November 13!

Interfaith Service of Thanksgiving

We'll be hosting this year's 146th annual Interfaith Service of Thanksgiving on Thanksgiving Day, November 24, at 10am. Start your day with Interfaith partners from all over Denver in a meaningful service of gratitude.

Friendship Ministry


If you have the desire, interest or longing to expand your circle of friendswe’ve got just the solution. The Friendship Ministry provides one-to-one outreach between the individual and their designated “friend" once a month by phone, Zoom or personal visit. Learn more HERE.

Block Styrofoam Recycling Day

Montview’s Styrofoam Recycling Team will be accepting your block Styrofoam for recycling on Sunday, October 30. Find us in the Commons between services and after the second service. Montview’s Annual Beans & Rice Event

October 30 | 12:00-2:00pm (Fellowship Hall)


Help break down 2,000 lbs of beans and rice into meal-ready packages for our local food pantries. We’ll gather for lunch and then get to work. All supplies are provided. All ages are welcome!

Seeds of South Sudan Luncheon

November 13 | 12:30pm (Fellowship Hall)


One of our Mission Partners, “Seeds of South Sudan,” is inviting the Montview congregation to attend its luncheon celebration on Sunday, November 13 at 12:30pm in the Fellowship Hall. Everyone is invited and there’s no charge. To learn more, click here.

Thanksgiving Baskets & Gift Cards for

50 Stedman Elementary Families

 

Montview is collecting Thanksgiving baskets and grocery store gift cards for neighboring families in need. We will provide each family with nonperishable Thanksgiving meal items, along with a gift card for fresh ingredients. Collections will take place on November 6 and 13. Read more HERE.

Children's Programs 2022-2023

Sunday Morning Schedule


Our Sunday School classes, Children’s Choir and Youth Bells are in full swing. Our rooms are filled with our children, our wonderful teachers, energy and fun! For an explanation of our Sunday morning offerings for children and a chart of times/places, click here.


Our Sunday School classes end at 10:40am. Please meet your children then and sign-out with the teachers. If you are not there, the Sunday School teachers will take your child to childcare in Room 112. Thank you!

Beans and Rice Event

October 30 | Following the 11:00am Worship Service



The upcoming Beans and Rice Event is a wonderful family mission  opportunity. We hope your family can come to share a meal and do a project with members of our faith community. This project will benefit the hungry in our city.

4th Grade Bible Presentation

November 13 | 11:00am Service


Our 4th grade Bible presentation will be on November 13 at the 11:00am service. If you have not reserved a Bible, please contact Sandy at prouty@montview.org.

Acolytes Needed!


Our Montview acolytes bring the light of Christ into the sanctuary, leading the processional at the 11:00am service. We are happy to have resumed our tradition! Students in grades 3 through 12 are welcome to serve. Read more HERE.
