Congregational Meeting
October 29 | 12:00pm (Sanctuary)
We are pleased to announce that the Session is calling a Congregational Meeting to hear the report of the Associate Pastor Nominating Committee (APNC), which has been faithfully searching for an Associate Pastor for Congregational Care and Senior Ministry. A candidate has been selected and this person will preach at both services. After the 11am service, the candidate will be available for questions, followed by votes of the congregation to:
1. Elect the candidate as our new Associate Pastor
2. Accept the terms of call (these will be presented at the meeting)
3. Thank and dismiss the APNC

When God Asks the Questions - Dr. William Summerhill

When the Bible is engaged by those willing to discover what it likely meant in its historical context, and what it may mean for us today, it truly can become a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. This 6-week series will focus on those places in the Bible where God is portrayed as putting questions to a number of biblical characters. Our New Partnership with Temple Micah
As we shared several weeks ago, we have an opportunity to partner with Temple Micah, a Reformed synagogue in Park Hill. The partnership includes Temple Micah relocating to our building and sharing space with us, holding weekly Shabbat services, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs and collaborating with Montview Church on various ministry opportunities. Session has approved the preliminary terms for the partnership and specific details are being finalized. Read more HERE.

News from Childcare
Great things for children are happening on Sunday mornings!
We have a new childcare group for two and young three-year-olds. It is in Room 113. It is a sweet place for our youngest just out of the nursery. This group does puzzles and playdough; listens to stories; does a Bible coloring sheet; and has snack all in an age appropriate time frames with much time to play!
We also have a new childcare group for older three and four-year-olds. It is in Room 112 from 9:30am-12:30pm. This group does similar activities plus has a Sunday School lesson and times to sing with Becki Taylor, our Assistant Minister of Children's Music!
These groups are places of fun and friendship for our littles ones. Parents are always welcome also!

We are enjoying our time together in Sunday School. We have gotten to know each other and gotten to know our church, including a “field trip” to the sanctuary. As we learn and grow together at Montview Church, we are grateful for our faith community, our dedicated volunteers and this place of joy, acceptance, respect and kindness.
