Ministry Highlight: Rocky Mountain Refuge


Montview partners with Rocky Mountain Refuge to provide a place for people experiencing homelessness to receive end-of-life care. According to the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless, about 25% of people experiencing homelessness who died last year, died out of doors. Guns to Gardens Event

Guns to Gardens Metro Denver is hosting a Safe Surrender event at Glennon Heights Mennonite Church in Lakewood on June 15. In partnership with other CFCU churches, including Montview, the June G2G event will provide an opportunity to safely dispose of unwanted firearms. Read more HERE.

Pathfinders


Pathfinders is a lively group of women who come together on the 2nd Friday of the month at noon in the McCollum Room for socialization and learning experiences. WELCOMING MIGRANTS

Third Time Was a Charm!

 

After two weather cancellations in April, our car-detailing event to help Venezuelans earn money was a rousing success on May 18. Setting up on Montview's south parking lot, the men cleaned and detailed 35 cars, collecting $4,270. Read more HERE.

Asylum Workshops 


The Colorado Asylum Center is holding clinics this summer to help families and individuals fill out their asylum applications, and they need bilingual Spanish/English volunteers to help. Montview is hosting some of the clinics in Fellowship Hall, specifically on July 25, July 26 and August 2. Read more HERE.

Got Cleaning Supplies?

 

Now you can share them to help welcome Venezuelan families who are moving into their own homes! Montview and Temple Micah members have filled and distributed a dozen cleaning baskets to newcomers. We need more. We will provide the baskets if you can help to fill them. Read more HERE.

Please note that our Sunday morning children's programming ended on May 12. Childcare will continue for children birth through 7 years from May 19 through the summer. We will resume our Sunday morning children’s programs in September! Thank you for your support of these ministries throughout this year. Your children are amazing!
