THIS THURSDAY, MAY 9: Beating the Bounds on Ascension Day!

For the second year in a row, College Lutheran Church will spend Ascension Day gathering throughout the region our members call home. From dawn to dusk, from Salem to Daleville, Roanoke, and Glenvar, we’ll gather on Thursday, May 9, for prayer, fellowship, study, worship, and meals. Some will join our church on the move for the whole day, some will join for parts of the day. You are invited to join as much as you can. Our hope is that all will know the connection we share as a community throughout this special place we call the Roanoke Valley.

Here's our tentative schedule:

6:00 AM: Morning Prayer at Roanoke College, Salem

We gather at the Roanoke College sign, where College Avenue ends at East Clay Street, near the old courthouse (West Hall).

7:00 AM: Breakfast at Mill Mountain Coffee & Tea, Salem

We've reserved the back room from 6:30 to 8:00 AM.

Lunch options include sandwiches (chicken salad or ham and cheese), fruit, and chips.

Vegetarian options are available, though we need to know immediately.

We share the Lord’s Supper in a festive outdoor Ascension Day service.

8:30 PM: Mac & Bob’s, Salem

Enjoy fellowship at the close of the day.
