Our TENT REVIVAL 2024 CONTINUES!
|
|
Last weekend's PENTECOST TENT REVIVAL 2024 is not over.
One last session this Sunday after Mass.
Praise God for a most glorious and blessed TENT REVIVAL IN THE HOLY SPIRIT which took place last weekend! More details, including the video links of the talks, will be posted within the next two weeks.
This is just a quick reminder for all TR participants to come this Sunday for the two talks:
Talk # 6- GROWTH IN THE HOLY SPIRIT.
Talk #7- TRANSFORMATION IN JESUS.
We had originally scheduled the last talk on June 2, but it would be tight since it would have to be after the Corpus Christi procession. So Fr Joseph has decided that both talks would on the same day tomorrow.
-------
These two talks are the completion of the 5 talks we had at the weekend Pentecost Tent Revival, leading us to a new level: community, mission- and more!
After having received the outpouring of the Holy Spirit last weekend, we are now ready to learn about the tools we need to have a more intimate life with Jesus as His beloved friend and loving disciple.
Don't miss this. All are welcome.
The talks, witness, small group sharing and Praise & Worship will take place in the tent immediately after Mass. Also those who were not prayed over last Saturday nite or Sunday after Mass will have the opportunity for prayer for outpouring of the Holy Spirit . A simple lunch will be provided .
|
|
Next Sunday, June 2nd is Corpus Christ, the Solemnity of the Body & Blood of Jesus!
We will have a solemn procession of the Most Blessed Sacrament in the streets of Newark, immediately after Holy Mass. Come prepared to accompany Jesus on this big day. Wear your walking shoes, a hat on the head perhaps, but most of all, come with your heart burning in loving witness to Jesus in the Eucharist.

Reflections on the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity
“Father,” “Son,” “Holy Spirit” are not simply names designating modalities of the divine being, for they are really distinct from one another: “He is not the Father who is the Son, nor is the Son he who is the Father, nor is the Holy Spirit he who is the Father or the Son” (Council of Toledo XI (675)). They are distinct from one another in their relations of origin: “It is the Father who generates, the Son who is begotten, and the Holy Spirit who proceeds” (Lateran Council IV (1215)). The divine Unity is Triune.
~Catechism of the Catholic Church #254
Reflection: One of the most fiercely debated dogmas of our faith in the early centuries of the Church was on the nature of the Most Holy Trinity. Today’s solemnity did not enter the General Roman Calendar until the fourteenth century, partly because we are called to honor and worship the Most Holy Trinity every day and in every liturgy. But designating one Sunday on which we ponder the inner life of the Most Holy Trinity is an opportunity to renew and deepen our honor and worship.
The Trinity is first and foremost a mystery. As The Divine Mystery above all mysteries, we must begin by humbly acknowledging that we will never, not even in Heaven, have a complete understanding of God’s essence, His inner reality. Only God knows Himself fully.

SOLEMNITY OF THE HOLY TRINITY
The Holy Trinity is the most fundamental of all truths in the Christian faith that all other truths of the faith rest upon.
The difference between the mystery of the Holy Trinity and most, if not all, other mysteries of our faith is that this mystery of the Trinity is not about what God has done for us but about who God is in himself.
Check out this video with Dr. Brant Pitre to learn more about the Holy Trinity...

Three Ways of Approaching the Trinity - Bishop Barron's Sunday Sermon
Friends, we come once again to Trinity Sunday. The Church has reflected very deeply on who God is, and this great doctrine of the Trinity has emerged from that speculation. What I want to do is give you, appropriately enough, three ways of approaching this profound mystery.

The Year of Parish Revival began on the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, June 11, 2023 . As we have entered this new season of grace, Bishop Cozzens has composed a beautiful prayer for the Revival and the Church. We pray in particular for our beloved St Antoninus Church....
Prayer for the Eucharistic Revival of the Church
Lord Jesus Christ, you give us your flesh and blood for the life of the world, and you desire that all people come to the Supper of the Sacrifice of the Lamb.
Renew in your Church the truth, beauty, and goodness contained in the Most Blessed Eucharist.
Jesus living in the Eucharist, come and live in me.
Jesus healing in the Eucharist, come and heal me.
Jesus sacrificing yourself in the Eucharist, come and suffer in me.
Jesus rising in the Eucharist, come and rise to new life in me.
Jesus loving in the Eucharist, come and love in me.
Lord Jesus Christ, through the paschal mystery of your death and resurrection made present in every Holy Mass, pour out your healing love on your Church and on our world.
Grant that as we lift you up during this time of Eucharistic Revival, your Holy Spirit may draw all people to join us at this Banquet of Life. You live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, God forever and ever.
Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mother of the Eucharist, Pray for us.
