Welcoming New OEP Board Members

Paula R. Glover has served as President of the Alliance to Save Energy since January 2021. During her tenure, the Alliance has secured billions of dollars in federal funding for energy efficiency programs, amplified its work on energy justice, and worked to advance the next generation of technologies with the Active Efficiency Collaborative.

Kate Frucher is the Managing Director of The Clean Fight NY, a business accelerator supported by NYSERDA and New Energy Nexus that identifies the best growth-stage clean energy companies from around the world and helps them scale in New York. Before The Clean Fight, Kate spent two decades as an entrepreneur herself, helping to launch, operate, and scale multiple technology and services businesses.

Steven Berkenfeld is the founder and principal of Ecotopia Consulting and is primarily engaged in helping early stage, mission driven companies in the development of their business plan and growth strategy with the aim of improving their financeability, enhancing their market adoption and commercialization, and maximizing their impact. Steven was formerly a Managing Director in Investment Banking at Barclays, and has extensive experience that includes all aspects of investment banking, private equity and impact investing. 

Frances Resheske serves on the board of Con Edison Transmission. She served on the Con Edison Clean Energy Businesses board until the company was sold in March 2023. She is also a Gubernatorial appointee to the board of the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). For 23 years, Frances served as Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs at Con Edison, one of the nation’s largest investor-owned energy delivery companies.

May 23 - H.R. 3614: American Offshore Wind Opportunity Act

Introduced by Rep. Robert Scott [D-VA3], this bill would direct the Comptroller General of the United States to submit to Congress a report on offshore wind development vessels, and for other purposes.


May 23 - H.R. 3615: Wildfire Grid Resiliency Act

Introduced by Rep. Norma Torres [D-CA35], this bill would direct the Secretary of Energy to carry out a demonstration program for projects that improve electric grid resilience with respect to wildfires, and for other purposes.


May 18 - H.R. 3553: 21st Century American Atomic Energy Age Act

Introduced by Rep. Robert Wittman [R-VA1], this bill would establish the Office of Nuclear, Economic, Environmental, and National Security of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, accelerate the deployment of small modular nuclear reactors, ban the import of Russian nuclear material, and for other purposes.


May 18 - H.R. 3484: ARC Act

Introduced by Rep. Byron Donalds [R-FL19], this bill would institute a focal point for advanced reactor deployment within the U.S. Government that's responsible for developing collaborative rleationships with embarking civil nuclear nations, and for other purposes.

Introduced by Rep. Adriano Espaillat [D-NY13], this bill would amend the Energy Policy and Conservation Act to reinstate the ban on the export of crude oil and natural gas produced in the United States, and for other purposes.


May 18 - H.R. 3495: Clean Energy Minerals Reform Act of 2023

Introduced by Rep. Raúl Grijalva [D-AZ7], this bill would modify the requirements applicable to locatable minerals on public domain lands, consistent with the principles of self-initiation of mining claims, and for other purposes.
