This feels like pinstriping a “little deuce coup”, but such tiny detailing on a large canvas is potent. The accumulated accents seem to direct the eye, make happy accidents appear deliberate and planned, set boundaries. Standing back to look after a couple hours of work with a tiny brush reveals their substantial rewards, big bold moves without the added visual weight, little treats for any eye that chooses to linger awhile with the painting.

Nikki Woods Solo Exhibition Conjuring Images Opens!

This July, we are ecstatic to open Conjuring Images, featuring recent paintings and pastel drawings by represented artist Nikki Woods!

Katy Richards and Bianca Fields join Nikki Woods in a group exhibit, Dream Gardens, that will be hosted within Woods' solo exhibition. The three Cleveland Institute of Art graduates reflect on beauty and identity, each with their own style of rousing mark making and expression.

In the 1920s, Cleveland was having an artistic revival, with the bookshop of Richard Laukhuff as its center. Laukhuff had opened his little bookshop full of books, prints, and European art magazines in 1916, quickly becoming a meeting place for local artists, a small group of whom decided to form a salon.

The Bogtrotters Two

The Bogtrotters Two feature penny whistle, flute, guitar, tenor banjo, cittern and mandolin on traditional Irish jigs, reels and airs, and some classic Irish songs. The Bogtrotters quartet have been the "house band" for St. Patrick's Day Parade festivities in the Arcade at the Hyatt Regency for two decades, and have performed at the Irish American Club East Side, the Look About Lodge in the Cleveland Metroparks, and other regional venues and events.  MaryAnn  and Roland have also played as the duo for the Family Theater Festival  at Playhouse Square since 2015.
