Great leaders understand that educating English learners is a shared responsibility among all educators. In order to create an inclusive learning community, the linguistic and socialcultural backgrounds of the school community need to be valued.

In AA#3915, participants will explore asset-based theories of funds of knowledge and translanguaging and learn to apply them to improve instruction, student engagement, and family support.

Using site-collected funds of knowledge interview responses and translanguaging samples, participants will also discover how to effectively integrate these concepts into any classroom.
