Jonathon Jacobson, a combat veteran, WNC graduate and former veterans club VP, is charged with making the Veterans Resource Center an important hub and resource on campus again.
AAA Recognizes Jack C. Davis Observatory
The national member association and service organization has listed Western Nevada College's Jack C. Davis Observatory among its nine best Western destinations for stargazing and astronomy.
Mining Company, WNC Share Love of Wildcats, Opportunities for Students
Millennial Precious Metals has established a $3,500 yearly scholarship at WNC for students who focus on mining-related interests such as biological, physical and environmental sciences; engineering, mathematics and physics.

WNC Mourns Loss of Faculty Member
Adjunct instructor Anthony Steverson has passed away. Anthony taught at WNC intermittently from 2013-18 before teaching regularly on the Fallon campus since 2019.

The District 12 regent focused her visit on student government leaders and Wildcat Reserve, the college’s food and hygiene pantry.

In honor of the 20th anniversary of Jack C. Davis Observatory, WNC Foundation and the JCDO Director Dr. Thomas Herring have collaborated to create some spectacular astrophotography for its annual fundraising note card campaign.
Dini Library Welcomes Native American Heritage and Prevention Night
In celebration of National Native American Heritage month, there was singing, dancing, refreshments and vendors showcasing Native American history, art and culture.

More than 100 people attended the conference presented by the Carson Douglas Early Childhood Advisory Council in WNC’s Carson Nugget Hall, and Bristlecone and Dini buildings.

The five-day course is led by a parent of a new teen driver and costs $100.
