Director's Corner:
Embracing the entrepreneurial spirit is a journey filled with endless possibilities and innovations. Engaging with new business owners and witnessing their passion and drive has reaffirmed my belief in the power of entrepreneurship. It is truly inspiring to see how the chamber plays a pivotal role in supporting and nurturing these brave entrepreneurs who are willing to turn their passion into their purpose.
This was the inspiration behind our Women's Leadership Conference last week. We had 6 women, community leaders, share what inspired them to push through the obstacles they faced and become the successful, purposeful women they are now: both professionally and personally.
We were honored to present Dr. Stephanie Fujii, President of Arapahoe Community College, with the Outstanding Community Leader Award 2024. In her short tenure of 3 years with ACC, she has changed the culture of the College to be one of community, inclusiveness, and collaboration.
Another speaker from our conference, Arapahoe County Commissioner Carrie Warren-Gulley, has offered to present information to chamber members regarding the 2025 county budget and the projected shortfall, Thursday May 9th, 10 am at the Chamber office. We have limited space but if you would like to be a part of this conversation, please call me 720-277-0385.
A goal of mine has been to build collaborations with other local chambers. We have invited the Greater Englewood Chamber of Commerce members to attend our May 8th, Business After Hours at Platte River Bar and Grill. I believe that together, we not only accomplish more but also inspire each other to reach greater heights. So, let's embrace the power of collaboration and witness the magic that unfolds when we join forces to do better work together. I hope to see you at one of our 4 networking events this month.
Happy Mother's Day to all of our chamber mom's and I hope you all have fun plans over Memorial Day to begin your summer!
