Burns Bar-B-Que Community Thanksgiving Dinner
The family that started Burns Original Bar-B-Que (8307 De Priest St) hosting their annual Thanksgiving community day on Monday, Nov. 23. The family is working with Slim Thug & The BossLife Foundation, and 1501 Certified, which was founded by the Co-Owner of Burns, Carl Crawford. You can pick up to-go dinners for each person in your car. The menu includes seafood dressing, smoked turkey, dinner rolls, desserts, and more. You can pick up a plate starting at noon.

If you miss the weekend distributions, several organizations are planning a giveaway on Tuesday, Nov. 24 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Salvation Army Curbside Feast
The Salvation Army's annual Turkey Day tradition will continue this year, but with pandemic-friendly precautions. On Thanksgiving Day, meals will be available for pickup at The Salvation Army Jones Residence at 1603 McGowen St. from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
