CARB's "Cal Fleet Advisor"

CARB has developed a personalized assistance service to help fleets in transitioning to medium- and heavy-duty zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs). Participants will be paired with a dedicated advisor to provide specific insights, based on fleet needs, into ZEV options, charging infrastructure, incentives, and more.

Guardian Yard Introducing EV Charging Stations at Metro Air Park

Guardian Yards, an industrial outdoor storage and truck parking yard operator, has announced it is introducing electric vehicle charging stations for truck fleets at its 25-acre truck parking depot adjacent to Sacramento’s Metro Air Park. CEC GFO-23-607 - Tribal Electric Vehicle Infrastructure, Planning, and Workforce Development

- The purpose of this solicitation is to provide funding for Tribes, Tribal Organizations, and Tribally-owned businesses for:
- Project Activity 1 – EV Charging Infrastructure: installing charging infrastructure for passenger and medium- and heavy-duty (MDHD) EV charging equipment, supporting infrastructure, and associated resiliency technologies.
- Project Activity 2 – EV Infrastructure Planning: activities to support tribal participation in future EV funding opportunities and to enable tribes to plan for EV adoption.
- Project Activity 3 – EV Workforce Training and Development: activities that support careers in EVs, EV infrastructure, and EV-related technologies.
- $400,000 - $3,000,000 per award ($10,000,000 total)

Allison's 18,000 Unit Sale
|
|
Allison Transmissions has announced an 18,000 unit order by a major logistics and delivery company. The Allison 3414 Regional Haul Series (RHS) is “Fuel Agnostic” with efficiency levels that reduce CO2 and noise.

Light-Duty Vehicles Reach Highest MPG
|
|
EPA data reports that new light-duty vehicles have reached an all-time high fuel economy levels.
|
|
Honda Premiers Fuel Cell Plug-In Hybrid
|
|
Honda will introduce their Fuel Cell plus Plug-in Hybrid CR-V in 2025. The vehicle will also have some power export capabilities.
|
|
PG&E has announced a new program for used EVs, with eligible PG&E customers qualifying for up to $4K in rebates. This can be added to the federal $4K tax incentive for used EVs.
|

Caltrans Expands Hydrogen Train Purchases
|
|
Caltrans has a contract with Stadler Rail for the purchase of up to 25 hydrogen-powered trainsets. Under this contract, Caltrans had already ordered four and they have just increased the order with an additional six. These 10 trainsets are planned for the Merced to Sacramento corridor.
