NorCal Fleet Academy and Expo
SAVE THE DATE for the NorCal Fleet Academy and Expo October 6 & 7, 2021. Sacramento Clean Cities, in partnership with East Bay Clean Cities, NorCal MEMA, NorCal/Nevada NAFA, Sac Metro Air District and Universal Technical Institute will provide training for Fleet Managers, Technicians, Spec Writers and Grant Writers, along with Vehicle and Equipment Displays.
HVIP Will Open New Voucher Requests
HVIP will open to new voucher requests at 10 a.m on Tuesday, June 8. A total of approximately $82.5M will be available in June, with an additional $82.5M available in August. The FY20-21 Implementation Manual is now available at www.californiahvip.org/im. Additional requirements will apply.

Sac Metro Air District RFP
The Sac Metro Air District has released an $18M RFP. Funding will be available to replace medium and heavy-duty vehicles with zero-emission trucks and buses, install low carbon fueling infrastructure, replace older farm tractors, upgrade locomotives or complete other eligible projects.

CALSTART Offering Stipend for Small Fleets
CALSTART is offering a $200 stipend for any small fleet (20 or fewer trucks) that participates in one of two sessions covering how the state can help them move to zero-emission trucks. Sessions are scheduled for May 26 from noon to 2pm and June 4 from 7am to 9am.

GM Battery Cells Have Official Recycler
GM has announced that they will use Li-Cycle, a Canadian company, to recycle scrap materials from the manufacturing of their Ultimum batteries. GM also claims it has recycled the material from in-use battery packs that have been turned in to at dealerships.
