CARB Solicitation for Adult Education & Vocational School ZEV Technology Training
  • Develop new or strengthen existing workforce training and development programs
  • Increase awareness of Zero-Emission Vehicle training, education, and jobs
  • Projects must benefit a California-based, accredited, non-profit adult education or vocational school
  • Programs should focus on working with and enrolling students from priority populations
  • All work must be completed March 31, 2026

Innovative Small E-Fleet (ISEF) Funding Opens
  • $83M set aside for ISEF within the HVIP Program
  • Incentives for small fleets that seek to deploy battery electric or hydrogen fuel cell trucks
  • Fleets with < 20 trucks and <$15M annual revenue (NGOs are exempt from the revenue cap)
  • Program runs until all funds are allocated

El Dorado Air District EV & EVSE Incentives
The El Dorado Air District has a $599 “Drive Clean” incentive for El Dorado County residents who buy an EV (pre-approval is required) and they are developing a $300 “CHARGE” incentive for home EVSE.

Sept 20 - Webinar
  • contractors, universities, and school districts, to participate in a regulatory training webinar on the requirements of Clean Truck Check, also known as Heavy-Duty Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance (HD I/M). Vehicle owners, operators, fleet managers, technicians, maintenance staff, and emission testers are recommended to participate.

Hydrogen Fuel Cell-Powered Emergency Relief Truck
A Kenworth Class 7 truck has been upfitted as zero-emission emergency response vehicle under a project at the Department of Homeland Security. The Cummins zero-emission subsidiary, Accelera, provided the drivetrain upfit that drives the truck and provides auxiliary power and water at the disaster site, along with a climate-controlled office for relief workers.

Bill to Promote SAF
Bill to Promote SAF: Congressional representatives from Texas and Ohio have jointly introduced legislation to increase USDA support to farmers growing crops for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). The bill would also loosen restrictions on use of fallow ag land for production of crops used for SAF.

CVRP Transitioning
The Clean Vehicle Rebate Program (CVRP) will transition into an expanded CleanCars4All (CC4A) program to provide rebates exclusively to low- and middle-income EV purchasers. The expanded program will offer up to $12,000 for buyers who scrap an older car and up to $7.500 for purchasers not scrapping an older car.

California Average Grid Electricity Carbon Intensity: California average grid electricity used as a transportation fuel in California: 79.43 to 81.49gCO2e/MJ.

California Increases Clean Fuel Use: The LCFS Program in California has led to over half of the diesel used in 2022 to be replaced with renewable diesel, biodiesel, natural gas, electricity and hydrogen. These lower-carbon fuels replaced two billion gallons of diesel in 2022 and over 8.6 billion gallons since the LCFS program began.
