Protected Tomorrows Today

A Message from Mary Anne

Exciting News!

This has been a month of exciting new changes here at Protected Tomorrows. Most of you know that my sister, Marcia, was born with cerebral palsy. After watching my parents worry about her future after they were gone, I started Ehlert Financial Group in 1990 to focus on financial planning for families of individuals with special needs.

I soon realized that families like mine needed far more. In 2003, I created Protected Tomorrows to help families transform uncertainty into positive action, navigating the complexities of planning holistically for the future of a family member with special needs, including not only financial planning, but to assist in the search for government assistance, education, housing, transportation, employment, health care and more.

Now, Protected Tomorrows is stepping onto a much larger stage thanks to a new partnership with Simplicity Group, which will leverage our services and expertise and expand our reach to families across the country.

I am thrilled to find a partner in Simplicity, which shares my vision of helping provide education and practical, holistic support. We will also be able to make our training and specialized planning available to Simplicity's affiliated financial professionals, so more advisors will be available to provide knowledgeable service to more families.

These are exciting days at Protected Tomorrows. In addition to this new partnership, we have launched our new website.

But what won't change is our dedication to you, our families, bringing you peace of mind and offering your loved ones with special needs a lifetime of happiness and security.

Yours truly,

Mary Anne Ehlert

Building social networks is critical to our mental and emotional well-being, and it's especially important for people with disabilities and their families.

Let's talk with some social programs around the country and learn how to find out more about them. We'll discuss the value of friendships, and what that means for you and your child - whether you find a network to fit into or build one of your own.

Our guest speakers include:

Hannah Warren - The Miracle Project, Los Angeles, CA

Kathy Sanders - Holistic Riding Equine Therapy, Lemont, IL

Haley McDonald - National Ability Center, Park City UT

Emily Fucello - VisArts, RockVille, MD
