Opening Luncheon Flourish Logo.JPG

Our theme this year is “Flourish”. The definition of flourish, according to Merriam-Webster, as a verb is to grow luxuriantly or THRIVE; or to achieve success or PROSPER; or to be in a state of activity or production. As a noun, it means a period of thriving.

What does flourish mean for you? For some of us, it means moving our families across the country, acclimating to the south, putting our kids in new schools, putting down new roots, and making new friends. For others, it means discovering new hobbies, passions, or careers. Maybe it just means reconnecting with people you lost touch with during the pandemic. Maybe you felt “stunted” when we were on lockdown and forced to learn new technology to communicate…but didn’t learning all those new skills make you feel like you could take on new things? To flourish?

What does flourish mean for us as a group? As leaders of The Chattahoochee Plantation Women’s Club, we hope that we encourage all of you to grow, expand, thrive, and prosper. Look at all the groups we offer, join something new, connect with neighbors you didn’t know before. Do you want to learn how to play bridge, read a new book, or go on a hike? There are lovely groups of women who play bridge, discuss interesting books and explore the area once a month, Do you have children or grandchildren? Bring them to the Halloween, Yule Log, and Egg Hunt put on by Family Activities. Do you want to flourish by helping others? Our charity for this year is Great Prospects, so please consider volunteer opportunities as well. Whatever you may want to do, we have a group for you! We are here to cheer you on as you flourish by expanding your horizons!

This is a group of incredible women invested in learning new things and nurturing amazing friendships. There is always someone to call, chat with, lunch with, or have a glass of wine with, or help keep you sane. So whether you are new or have been here for ages, learn something new this year, make a new friend this year, and together, we will all Flourish.
