What's Happening at St. Andrew

On Wednesday evenings following the WNL meal, there will be an opportunity for extended fellowship for those who enjoy playing games. Bring a favorite table game, such as dominoes or cards, for group play. We hope for good participation and fun. 

New officers were elected. Elders elected for the Class of 2026 is Robin Burns. Elders elected for the Class of 2027 are Julia Archer, Alan Peters, and Quita Russell. The trustee for the Class of 2027 is Cissy Ward. The Nominating Committee was also elected for the Class of 2026, including Kathy Loy, Steve Crane, and Ann Smith. Thank you to all for serving and for the current Nominating Committee for their work: Charlotte Ezelle, Charles Everingham, Janet Martin, Jackie Farmer, Nell Ward, and Quita Russell. 

Longview Community Ministries Food Box needs to add volunteers to their regular weekly schedule. Here are those needs:

• Monday: 1-2 people
• Wednesday: 1 person
• Thursday: 1 person
• Friday: 2-3 people

Angel Academy's first day of school is Wednesday, Sept. 4.

First Presbyterian's Youth Fundraiser is on September 8 at noon. After worship, everyone is welcome to join them for lunch, a silent auction, and a talent show.

The next food bags for One Love Longview will be assembled on September 18 at 1:00 PM. The link for the things we need is https://tinyurl.com/52vevmyf. If you are not comfortable entering purchased items yourself on the spreadsheet, you can just email additions to jhaley@cumclongview.org. 

Vienna sausage, tuna packets, and water bottles are the most needed items currently.

Women’s Bible Study begins Tuesday, September 24, at 10:30 a.m. in the fellowship hall. All interested should sign up by contacting the church office so we have enough books. Quita Russell will lead the study.

Free Firewood! Katy & Lynn Manck have plenty of good oak firewood to share - free. There is a catch: you need to get it at their place. Please email Lynn to make connections: Lynn.Manck@gmail.com
