Greetings Matt! I hope you had a wonderful Halloween. I know I sure did! Check me out in my American Indian costume! Let's get down to business.
The fall is when you want to get ready for the winter cold. So this month I'm going to give you a fairly easy checklist of things to do before winter for the various systems of your home
so you can enjoy the snow and not worry about your home.
|
|
- Insulate walls and attic.
- Caulk and weather-strip doors and windows.
- Install storm windows or cover windows with plastic from the inside.
- Insulate any water lines that run along outer walls. This will make water less likely to freeze.
- Service snow-removal equipment.
- Have chimney and flue inspected.
- Install easy-to-read outdoor thermometer.
- Repair roof leaks and cut away tree branches that could fall on your home or other structure during a storm.

Hope this helps! To conclude, here's a little dog wisdom:
"You can say any foolish thing to a dog, and the dog will give you a look that says, ‘Wow, you’re right! I never would’ve thought of that!'". Happy Thanksgiving!
Best Regards,

You should try to frequently do things which scare you and push you outside your comfort zone. Take on a complicated new project, offer to do some public speaking, or learn a new skill. You’ll never rise in your career if you don’t take the chance to fall.
