Charming Charlie is an adorable 2-year-old Pointer mix who is looking for his forever home. His forever home must have another friendly confident dog who can help show Charlie the ropes. Charlie is also going to need a quieter home with either no children or older children. He does have a little bit of anxiety and will need a home that is structured. He is an amazing guy who loves other dogs and would also do well in a home with a dog savvy cat. Charlie loves to play, go for walks, and especially loves to cuddle. He is an amazing boy, don’t wait! - 6/1-6/30, Sunset Railbike Ride in Portsmouth, RI, Enjoy the Southern Circuit as the sun sets over Narragansett Bay. You'll ride 3 miles to Bayside Station, where you'll enjoy sweeping views over the water while relaxing on Adirondack chairs. Pedal back to the station as the sun sets and twilight deepens.
- 6/2, Cruise Night at Patriot Place
- 6/4, Architectural Walking Tour of Taunton, This 90-minute guided tour follows an approximately 1-mile route around Church Green and Taunton's Historic District to highlight some of the architectural gems of our city and stories of the Tauntonians who called them home. Scheduled for the first Saturday of each month, May through October, rain or shine. Meet us on the Museum's front steps at 11 a.m.!
- 6/4, 10, 25, 30 Waterfire in Providence, Waterfire is a festive urban celebration of light and music. Explore on foot as warm bonfires dot the rivers of downtown Providence, set to atmospheric song.
- 6/4, Monster Jam at Gillette Stadium, Monster Jam, the most action-packed motorsports experience for families in the world today, returns to Foxborough for an adrenaline-charged weekend at Gillette Stadium on Saturday, June 4, 2022. Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, Monster Jam features world-class athletes locked in intense competitions of speed and skill. Fans will enjoy an all-star lineup of 12,000-pound Monster Trucks, including fan favorites Grave Digger and El Toro Loco, competing in high-flying, gravity defying feats. Monster Jam athletes will compete for the event championship, going head-to-head for points in Freestyle, Skills and Racing competitions.
- 6/5, The One Mission Buzz Off at Gillette Stadium, The One Mission Buzz Off is a fun and unforgettable event where passionate people come together to shave their heads in honor and support of kids with cancer; kids who don’t have the choice to lose their hair. Just like a walk or road race, participants raise money by asking family and friends to sponsor their participation. By shaving your head, in less than five minutes you can show kids with cancer they are not alone and that others really do care. All that stands between you and life-changing experience is a head of hair!
- 6/10-6/12, PVD Fest in Providence, After an unimaginable two years, artists and performers from around the corner and around the globe will reinvigorate and rebuild Providence’s world-renowned art and culture community and showcase the Creative Capital. The three days of PVDFest programming will culminate on Saturday, June 11 with live music, dance, food, and visual art installations that will transform downtown Providence.

Our rescue partner, Bog Iron Brewing, will be hosting us on June 11th, 2022, from 1:00-4:00pm, to officially kick off summer. 6/11, Unlikely Book Story in Plainville, David Sedaris! We are thrilled to welcome award-winning author David Sedaris to An Unlikely Story! Sedaris is the author of twelve books, including A Carnival of Snackery, The Best of Me, and Calypso, and he is a regular contributor to The New Yorker and BBC Radio 4. During this event, Sedaris will do a reading from his new book HAPPY-GO-LUCKY, his first new collection of personal essays since the bestselling Calypso. In HAPPY-GO-LUCKY, Sedaris captures his most unexpected, hilarious, and poignant upheavals from living through the Covid pandemic, and expresses in precise language both the misanthropy and desire for connection that drive us all. If we must live in interesting times, there is no one better to chronicle them than the incomparable David Sedaris. Cindy House, author of Mother Noise and Sedaris' former student, will open the event with a short reading. Following Sedaris' reading will be an audience Q & A and signing. Reservations required
- 6/11-6/13, Mayflower II’s 65th Sapphire Anniversary, Plymouth, Enjoy crafts, live music, and fun take-home surprises during Mayflower II’s Sapphire Jubilee weekend. June 13, 2022 marks 65 years since the ship crossed the Atlantic in 1957 and arrived in the same harbor where the Pilgrims landed in 1620.There will be family games, fanfare, and yummy food.

- 6/18, Jimmy Fund Scooper Bowl at Patriot Place, since 1983, Jimmy Fund Scooper Bowl® has been serving up sweet scoops of your favorite frozen treats from Boston Common, Boston’s City Hall Plaza, and now Patriot Place in Foxborough! The nation’s largest all-you-can-eat ice cream festival, a New England tradition, has raised more than $7.1 million to support cancer care and research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. For 2022, we look forward to welcoming ice cream lovers of all ages to Patriot Place to enjoy sweet treats, live entertainment, and fun, while we work to defy cancer with each scoop! You will be making a difference for patients and families facing cancer, in the sweetest way possible.
- 6/18, The Great Race, Warwick, RI - Classic cars from around the world will converge in Warwick’s Rocky Point State Park to begin The Great Race, a nine-day, 2,300-mile adventure across 10 states. Spectators will be able to visit with race participants and check out the 120 vintage automobiles before they head out, one second apart, on the rally. All cars were built in 1974 and earlier; most were manufactured before World War II. The oldest autos in this year’s event, which culminates in Fargo, N.D., include a 1916 Hudson Pikes Peak Hillclimber, a 1917 American LaFrance and a 1917 Peerless racer. Each car has a driver and a navigator, who are given precise instructions each day that detail every move down to the second, confirmed by secret checkpoints along the way. The race itself will start in Warwick on June 18th at 8 a.m.
