Enlisting in the U.S. Army immediately after graduating high school at the age of 17 in July 1999, Jaime dedicated 11 years to the nation's defense, attaining the esteemed rank of Staff Sergeant (SSG) before receiving an honorable discharge in September 2010.
Her military journey commenced with rigorous training at Fort Leonard Wood, MO, followed by specialized instruction as an Information Technology Specialist at Fort Gordon, GA. From 2007 to 2010, Jaime served in Holmes, PA, with the U.S. Army Mid-Atlantic Recruiting Battalion as a US Army Recruiter, excelling in recruitment and leadership.
Jaime's commitment to personal development paralleled her military service. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Technology from the University of Maryland in 2011, augmenting her academic credentials with a Project Management Undergraduate Certificate in 2018 and a Certified Government Chief Information Officer (CGCIO) designation from the University of Georgia's Carl Vinson Institute of Government in 2021. Civil Service Rules Change
Resolution 2020-151 amended Civil Service Rules 5.407 and 5.411. Rule 5.407 governs annual leave accumulation limits, and Rule 5.411 governs the payment of accrued unused annual leave at the time an employee exits the County. Please be advised that the accumulation limits have increased from 256 hours to 356 for general employees, and 576 for fire shift personnel. This change is beneficial to employees, and basically increases the amount of annual leave payout.
The change in the accumulation limits does not impact your accrual rate. All covered employees earn annual and sick leave at the rate of 4 hours per pay period. The effective date of Resolution 2020-151 is August 4, 2020.
If you have any questions, please contact your supervisor, or call Human Resources.
| The Pinning Ceremony recognizes employees who have made milestones in their careers working in Clayton County. These recipients have been a part of the Clayton County family for 5, 10, 15, 20, or 25+ years. Thank you all for your dedication to the Clayton County community and family. You are appreciated. #Claytonconnected |

Department Heads and staff should review the brand video and requirements for the new brand logo, tagline and marketing slogan, which was approved for all BOC departments effective July 7, 2020. The official logo, lettering and colors should not be changed and should never appear distorted when printed, embroidered, posted, or electronically shared.
It is important to make all vendors and partners aware of the official brand guide and official color pallette with the correct numbers when creating flyers, promotional, uniforms, swag, etc. for your department using the full color, black, or white version of the logo. White background of solid colors that are not in the logo are recommended that convey all details clearly of the logo (no fade, no lines, no circles, no gradients etc. that would change the logo.) Otherwise, use the black logo or white logo or gray scale only to achieve the full effect of the logo without distorting it.
If you have questions, contact the Office of Communications/Print Services at printshop@claytoncountyga.gov, (770) 477-3562. for immediate assistance before you print or order.

Take Care of the Little Things
Leadership requires starting small and working up to it. A person who has never led before needs to try to influence one other person. Someone who has some influence should try to build a team. Just start with what’s necessary.
St. Francis of Assisi said, “Start doing what is necessary; then do what is possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible.” All good leadership begins where you are. It was Napoleon who said, “The only conquests which are permanent and leave no regrets are our conquests over ourselves.” The small responsibilities you have before you now comprise the first great leadership conquest you must make. Don’t try to conquer the world until you have taken care of things in your own backyard.
--The 360 Degree Leader… John C. Maxwell
WHAT ONE SMALL, SPECIFIC
LEADERSHIP STEP CAN YOU TAKE TODAY?
Have a fantastic week.
