Board of Trustees Updates
During its Summer meeting, the ELECTRI International Board of Trustees approved a change to the cost structure of joining the ELECTRI Council for the first time since the ELECTRI Council was formed in 1989. All existing Council members and any company that joins before January 1, 2025, are grandfathered into the current payment structure. This decision is based on the increased demand for research and education from ELECTRI and the increased costs of events.
Beginning on January 1, 2025, any new chapter or company who joins the ELECTRI Council will join with the options below:
One-Time Payment
3 Years (3%)
5 Years (5%)
10 Years (10%)
15 Years (15%)

Industry Partners have the One-Time and 3 Year Option
Large Contractors (over $100M) have up to the 5 Year Option
If you have any questions about this change, please contact Jessica Cardenas at jc@necanet.org.
The Board also approved a new registration fee for ELECTRI’s Winter and Summer Council meetings. Starting with our 2025 Winter Council meeting, there will be a $250 per adult registration fee for our annual Council Meetings. This fee is necessary to help cover the rising costs of hosting our meetings.
IT & Coffee Recording: In case you missed it, below is the recording of last week’s IT & Coffee on IT Budgets. Matt Lamb with Rosendin led an interesting conversation on the topic with attendees. Research Help Needed:
-
Risk Logs – do you have examples of risk logs that you are willing to share? We need risk logs/ performance matrix of subcontractors in IPD projects. Please email amanda@electri.org.
-
Cost of Inexperience and Schedule Compression: Construction inexperience impacts how projects are delivered in terms of schedule, cost, and quality. With the changing workforce and increasing opportunities to move into new markets, we need to understand how to leverage and capture our collective construction knowledge to collaboratively build solutions for the future. To explore our current challenges and opportunities, and to those who are willing to share their professional experience, please reach out Amelia Celoza (Amelia.Celoza@Colorado.edu) to schedule a 30-minute call.
Remember to check out ELECTRI’s NEW Research Engagement Hub and lend your expertise to our ongoing research projects.
ELECTRI appreciates your assistance with this research. If you have any questions about the research, please contact Amanda Harbison, ELECTRI’s Director of Research, at Amanda@electri.org.
