ELECTRI RECAP: February

2023 YEAR IN REVIEW

ELECTRI is excited to announce three NECA chapters that have joined the ELECTRI Council this year! The Orange County Chapter NECA, located in Orange, California, joined in February and will be represented by Chapter Governor Jeff Perry. The Southwest Washington Chapter NECA, located in Lakewood, Washington, joined the ELECTRI Council in March and will be represented by Chapter Executive Peter Butler. The Redwood Empire Chapter NECA, located in Petaluma, California, also joined the ELECTRI Council in March and will be represented by Chapter President Jolene Corcoran. We welcome each of these chapters to ELECTRI and look forward to seeing the insights they bring to the Council.

Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Overview 2024:

• The United States Department of Defense (DoD) has introduced the new Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) standard for contractors bidding on DoD projects. This whitepaper provides corporate leaders and IT Directors in the electrical and mechanical contracting industry with an overview of CMMC 2.0, addressing frequently asked questions and simplifying technical jargon. Contract Benchmarking & Analytics:

• Document Crunch and ELECTRI have enhanced their partnership, streamlining the process for ELECTRI Council members to benchmark their contracts using Document Crunch's platform. Over 300 ELECTRI participants and 39 NECA chapters, uploading more than 700 contracts, have benefited from this collaboration, resulting in significant improvements in contract review processes and risk management. This report is an update of the 2021 study, reflecting the advancements made in 2023.

Construction Industry Alliance for Suicide Prevention

It is an unfortunate fact that construction has the highest rate of suicide of any industry in America. We lose about 53 out of every 100,000 members of our industry EVERY YEAR to suicide. We are four times the average of other industries. We have a crisis in construction and we need to do something about it. You can visit the Construction Industry Alliance for Suicide Prevention website and learn more. We urge all to take the pledge to STAND UP for suicide prevention and address it as a health and safety priority.
