Celebrating 15 Years of Caring for Older Adults


Heritage Woods of Sterling celebrated its 15th Anniversary last week. Since opening, the Gardant-managed affordable assisted living community has cared for more than 425 older adults who need some help to maintain their independence. Amanda Martinez, 3rd shift C.N.A., and Rae Ann Higley, Resident Services Coodinator, were honored for 15 years of service. Donna Nicewanner, was recognized as the resident who has lived at Heritage Woods the longest. She has been a resident of Heritage Woods for nearly 10 years. Piper Grazulis, Deputy Chief of Staff for Illinois State Sen. Bradley Fritts, presented the community with a Certificate of Recognition from the Illinois Senate.
