More than 30 Gardant-managed senior living, assisted living, and memory care communities have been recognized as being among the Best in the U.S. by U.S. News & World Report. The recognition is based on the most recent satisfaction surveys of residents and their families.

New Affordable Assisted Living Welcomes First Residents

A ribbon cutting celebration marked the opening of Green Oaks of Valparaiso. The affordable assisted living community in northern Indiana is designed to serve older adults of all incomes who need some help to maintain their independence. Gardant is honored to have been selected to manage the community.

Celebrating Five Years of Caring

Heritage Woods of Noblesville, a Gardant-managed affordable assisted living and memory care community in Indiana, celebrated its 5^th Anniversary. Residents Harold Gossman, Carol Laucevicius and Doreen Quaman were recognized for five years of residency and staff members Bryan Clarke, Director of Maintenance, Jennifer Joshua-Ndongo, L.P.N., and Evelyn Tisdale, L.P.N., for five years of service. Among the highlights was having an Andretti Indy race car on display.

Cost of Assisted Living a Top Concern

The University of Michigan’s National Poll on Healthy Aging found that the cost of assisted living was among the top concerns of adults 50 years of age and older.

Oral Health and Older Adults

A dentist in the United Kingdom highlighted the connection between oral health and Alzheimer’s and what people can do to protect themselves.

In an opinion piece posted on the Ohio Capital Journal website noted that caring for teeth and gums is essential for older adults. It contributes to overall health and the quality of life. Unfortunately, dental services generally are not covered by traditional Medicare.
