Pride - 600 x 300.png

Happy Pride Month Eastvale!

Traditionally, members of the LGBTQ+ community use this month to celebrate their self-expression, authenticity, and diversity and also use it as a time to reflect on the hardships they’ve faced as a community.

While great progress has been made toward equality, inclusion, and acceptance, we recognize that there is still work to be done. As a City, we strive to foster and work toward a more supportive, accepting, and loving community.

Organics Recycling - 600 _ 300 _1_.png

Organic Waste Recycling Requirements and Community Workshop

In a statewide effort to reduce the amount of organic waste disposed in landfills, California passed Senate Bill (SB) 1383, Short-Lived Climate Pollutant Reduction Law. This law requires a 75% reduction in statewide organic waste disposal and a 20% increase in edible food waste recovery by 2025.

To achieve this requirement, all businesses and multifamily properties, are required to arrange for organic waste collection services as of January 1, 2022 and residents will use their existing green waste cart to collect food waste starting July 1, 2022. SB 1383 defines organic waste as meat, bones, dairy, fruit and vegetable scraps, landscape clippings, and food soiled paper such as napkins and paper towels.

To assist with this transition, the City and WM are partnering to host Organic Waste Recycling Community Workshops. The workshops will be a great way for residents and businesses to learn about organic waste recycling requirements, discuss proper sorting tips, and meet WM representatives. All workshops will be held at Eastvale City Hall and the times are listed above.

Residents will also receive a residential service guide from WM mailed to their service address. For more information on SB 1383 requirements, please visit our website
