NEW PASTOR'S DAY
March 2, 2024 | 9:30 AM - 2:00 PM

If you are a new pastor, newly ordained or new to our region, please join us on Saturday March 2, 2024 at the TABCOM offices located at Grotonwood. At this gathering, led by Rev. Dr. Mary Day Miller, our Executive Minister, we will introduce you to our staff and tell you about TABCOM.
Representatives from our partner ministries; the Conference of Baptist Ministers, MABIT, North Baptist Education Society, Massachusetts Baptist Charitable Society will also be present to give you an overview of how they partner with us and our churches. Save the date!
The day begins at 9:30 a.m. and concludes by 2 PM. Lunch is included. If you have new staff at your church, encourage them to attend too.

Our Keynote Speaker this year is Rev. G. Travis Norvell. Rev. Norvell is a columnist for Word&Way and Christian Citizen and a faculty mentor to students attending Kairos University.
Rev. Norvell is the pastor of Judson Memorial Baptist Church in Minneapolis, MN., and an adjunct faculty member at United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities.
He was also speaker at the ABCUSA Biennial and author of Church on the Move: A Practical Guide for Ministry in the Community, which can be purchased on Amazon, Judson Press and Christianbook.com.

BAPTIST ARCHIVES WORK DAY | |

On Saturday, March 23rd, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. we will be working in the historic archives located at the TABCOM offices, organizing and cataloguing our historical records. There is a lot of work to do, from putting our library in order, to re-arranging boxes in the archives to cataloging hundreds of files. Please feel free to join us. The ABCUSA Office of the General Secretary welcomes Rev. Dr. Gina Jacobs-Strain as the next General Secretary of American Baptist Churches USA!
Dr. Jacobs-Stain was called as General Secretary of American Baptist Churches USA by the Board of General Ministries on November 4, 2023, and her service in this role begins today, on February 1, 2024. We look forward to many years of faithful service with Dr. Jacobs-Strain, working in partnership with all of American Baptist Churches USA.

ABHMS ANNOUNCES AVAILABILITY OF DEBT-RELIEF GRANTS FOR ELIGIBLE AMERICAN BAPTIST CLERGY
(01/31/2024)—American Baptist Home Mission Societies (ABHMS) is pleased to announce the availability of up to 40 debt-relief grants of $5,000 to American Baptist pastors who engage in financial literacy education and have not previously received such a grant from ABHMS. Grant recipients can use these taxable funds toward relief from consumer, medical, student loan or other personal debt identified in their grant applications.

It is with saddened hearts that we announce that Rev. Bob Aspinwall passed away suddenly and peacefully on February 16th at the age of 93.
Rev. Aspinwall served The American Baptist Churches in Massachusetts: Millbury Baptist Church and Beth Eden Baptist Church, Waltham, MA.
Visitation hours will be on Friday, February 16th between 10:00AM - 11:00AM and the Funeral Service will be held at 11:00AM directly following the visitation hours.
