Humanity First USA Duluth Food Pantry Inauguration
Fulton County, Ga. proclaims May 6th, Duluth Food Pantry Appreciation Day.
“Today I come here with a proclamation. And this is the highest civilian recognition for Fulton County.”
Khadijah Abdur-Rahman, Fulton County Commissioner, read aloud the Proclamation:
“Whereas access to healthy and nutritious food is a fundamental human right and a basic necessity for every individual…. And whereas Humanity First Duluth Food Pantry has been tirelessly serving our community by providing nutritious food to those who need it most and is committed to breaking the cycle of poverty by providing supplemental food to families so they can bridge their financial gaps….
The Fulton County Board of Commissioners recognizes Humanity First USA Duluth Food Pantry for their invaluable contributions to the issue of food security and does hereby proclaim Saturday May 6th 2023 as Humanity First USA Duluth Food Pantry Appreciation Day in Fulton County.”
Humanity First USA is immensely grateful to the Duluth volunteer team that opened the first standalone Humanity First food pantry in the U.S. Their efforts will ensure that at least 100 families each month have the food that they need.
