Dear Camp Families,

Thanks to all our family who already submitted the required camp forms. While the health forms are required by law and the American Camp Association standards, other forms such as the camper profile help us get to know your child prior to the camp season. We hope you take the time to complete all the forms. And call us in the office if there's anything you would prefer to discuss over the phone. When you login to your CampMinder account and click on the Forms tab, you will see the following -

• Additional Options (Horseback Riding, Golf and Linens)
• Bunk Request
• Camper and Family Profile
• Camper Medication Letter
• Emergency Medical Authorization Form (for EpiPens and inhalers)
• Health History (completed by parent)
• Parent Authorization Form
• Physician and Immunization Form (completed by a doctor)
• Transportation Form

If you haven't enrolled your child yet for the summer now is the time. Some cabins are already full for Session 2. So if you are planning on having your child attend Session 2 (July 7 - 20) register now before there is a waiting list for your child's preferred cabin.

The Camp office is open Monday through Friday, from 9 am - 5 pm, if you have any questions or need help completing your forms. You can reach our office via email at  info@CampNorthStarMaine.com  or at 207-998-4777.

Warm regards,

Brooke and Steven
Camper Medication
We continue to partner with The Medicine Shoppe pharmacy in nearby Lewiston. If your child will be taking prescription or over-the-counter medication while at camp, you are required to order the medicine through The Medicine Shoppe. The only fee for using this service is a $1 fee per prescription. Over-the-counter medications are the same price you would pay by walking into the pharmacy for the same purchase. Partnering with The Medicine Shoppe allows us to comply with State, Federal and American Camp Association regulations for the safe dispensing and handling of medication.

The Camper Medication Letter that can be found in the Forms section of your CampMinder account explains the process to order medication.
Transportation
Completing the Transportation Form in your CampMinder account let's us know how your child will be arriving at and departing from camp.

We offer charter bus service from New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts. There are options for round-trip or one way bus service.

If you are flying to and/or from camp, you must confirm your flights with the camp office before purchasing the tickets. Arrivals at Boston Logan Airport occur the day before the regularly scheduled check-in day. Departures from Boston Logan Airport occur on the regularly scheduled departure day.
The Village and CIT Overnight Trips
One of the highlights of last summer for our oldest campers living in The Village (typically 15 - 16 year olds) and CITs, is our overnight trips. Each session there is 1 scheduled overnight trip. Last year we went to Moosehead Lake in Northern Maine, Sunday River Resort and Bradbury Mountain State Park. This summer we have some new trips we know our campers will enjoy just as much.

For our younger campers living on The Line, there is an overnight campout scheduled each session on our property.
March Madness Contest
We are only a few weeks away from our annual March Madness Bracket Challenge. After the field of 68 is announced on Sunday, March 17th, we will email everyone directions to enter the contest. It's free to enter and open to all North Star campers and staff. The top 3 finishers will win some great North Star prizes.
