SHOUT OUT! We are so blessed to have an amazing instructional and support staff. Our teachers make all of the difference and positively impact our students on a daily basis. It is inspiring to walk into classrooms and witness the innovative and meaningful activities that are planned. Our teachers don't just teach, they prepare students for future success. I admire the dedication, and it does not go unnoticed.

Dear Students and Parents,

We hope this newsletter finds everyone in high spirits as we dive into the second quarter of this school year. As we move forward, I want to take a moment to recognize our students’ hard work during the first quarter, their dedication and commitment to their academic achievements!

The second quarter presents us with new opportunities to continue to guide and help our student to grow and reach their full potential. Our collective efforts and collaboration will be crucial in ensuring a productive and successful quarter for both our students and the entire school community.

Homecoming!

It's Homecoming time!!!! Panthers were Born to Rock!

Tuesday, October 17th, we kick off Homecoming week with "ROCK STAR DAY" dress as your favorite artist.
Wednesday, October 18th is the day to show off your "Panther Pride!" We will have a pep rally for 9th and 10th grades.
Thursday, October 19th, we celebrate the "Color Wars" between grades, our HoCo fest, and our High School vs. Staff Kickball game!
Friday, October 20th, everyone gets to wear their favorite concert tee with jeans! Friday night we will celebrate Luau style at our Homecoming Football game at Ansin Park at 7 pm.
Monday, October 23rd, we celebrate the end of Homecoming Week festivities during school with our annual parade. This year, we will watch Pepper on Tour!
Monday, October 23rd, The Middle school will get to celebrate their homecoming dance with a costume dance and haunted house. For important information and all dress code restrictions, please check out the details here.
Friday evening, October 27th, our high school students will dance the night away at Pepper's Born to Rock Homecoming Dance.

Eat sushi and we earn!

During October, Somerset families and friends are invited to order take out or dine in at Pubbelly Sushi in Pembroke Pines at Pembroke Gardens.

By simply mentioning our school, Somerset Academy, to their server, 10% of their bill will be donated directly to the school. It doesn't matter if you eat one time or every week, don't forget to mention Somerset Academy every time from October 1st to October 31st!

Box Tops for Education!

Great news! Buy Box Tops Products and with each purchase you earn for our school with HUNDREDS of products from brands you love and already buy. Scan your receipt with the free Box Tops app to submit your receipt within 14 days of purchase and earn for Somerset! Box Tops products are identified and earnings are credited online. If you shop for groceries online or have a digital version of a receipt, you can submit them to earn Box Tops for Somerset as well. Winter Athletics Update

Winter Athletics are right around the corner!

Our Homecoming Football game will be on October 20th at 7 pm at Ansin Sports Complex. Tickets will be sold on GoFan.
Girls and Boys Soccer Tryouts will be held October 16th through the 20th.
Boys Basketball Tryouts will be held on October 30th, November 1st, and November 2nd.
