KID Auxiliary March Newsletter
Auxiliary and KHK news & updates
We are a dedicated group of volunteers committed to helping over 20,000 children and families served by Kids in Distress (KID) in South Florida. Our fundraising efforts support programs provided by KID, including education, prevention, foster care, and family strengthening. As ambassadors in the community, we raise awareness for the children in foster care and the family services KID provides in the tri-county area.

President’s Message

It is hard to believe we are already into the month of March and we are still going strong supporting KID! Quick Auxiliary update of all that has happened in the past couple of months…

The KID Hero 5k at Vista View Park was a fun and exciting day! We had 663 runners register (in person and virtual) and the event once again raised over $100,000. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped make this event a success!

On February 6th, the Kid Auxiliary and Kids Helping KID were presented with a Proclamation from the City of Weston, honoring us for our efforts supporting KID.

Mark your calendars for BON VOYAGE Bingo on Thursday, April 13th at 6:30pm for a night of FUN!

Nominations for the Executive Board for 2023-2024 are open and run through March 24th. Now is the time to think about what you love about the KID Auxiliary and how you can share your talents. Nominate yourself or another member for next year’s Auxiliary Board.

The Agency’s signature Duck Fest Derby - Ducktuga will be live on Saturday, April 1st from 12pm-3pm at Esplanade Park in downtown Fort Lauderdale.

Thank you for helping what seems impossible, #KIDpossible.

Sincerely,
Sandy Nori
