Happy February! It hardly seems like winter with the weekend crowds and the great weather we were having...at least until Sunday. There will not be a basketball tournament this weekend which is a departure from past years. Pacific Basketball League's next tournament will fall on the same weekend as Super Bowl Sunday and about 30 teams are expected.
Please join us for our Thursday morning breakfast meeting at the Pig 'N Pancake at 8:30 A.M. on the 3rd. Public Works Director, Dale McDowell, will be giving a shortened version of the annual presentation he gives to our City Council as a year in review. Leah Griffith, of the Seaside Historical Society and Museum, will be this week's three-minute presentation. As always bring your announcements to share at the meeting. At every meeting we have a 50/50 Drawing. Buy tickets for $1 each and the winner will receive 50% of the money collected with the remaining 50% going to the Downtown Beautification Fund. The Pig 'N Pancake also pays for 50% of your next meal at the Pig 'N Pancake.
The SDDA Committees have been meeting and planning our 2022 Spring Wine Walk as well as two Downtown Beautification events to continue bringing the Starfish Winter Lighting and the Flower Baskets in late Spring. See below for information on these upcoming events.
