QUEEN ANNE'S COUNTY GOES PURPLE!

On September 9th, the heart of Centreville Town Square was ablaze with vibrant shades of purple as the community came together for the inspiring QAC Goes Purple Kickoff event. This initiative, a powerful stance against substance abuse, seeks to empower our residents, including our youth, with knowledge, facts, and current trends so they can make informed choices for themselves. While September serves as the focal point for QAC Goes Purple, our commitment to awareness and support extends well beyond this month. For more information visit www.qacgoespurple.org.

QAC Chamber Donates School Supplies to New Teachers

Chamber President, Linda Friday surprised Bayside Elementary School teacher Ms. Welch last week with a basket full of new school supplies. This year's drive gave the Chamber the opportunity to give baskets to teachers who are starting out at Kent Island Elementary, Stevensville Middle, Matapeake Elementary, and Kent Island High School. A special thanks to all the members who contributed!

Do you know a chamber member that has had a noteworthy impact in our business community? If so now is your chance to put them in the spotlight! The QAC Chamber of Commerce is asking for nominations for the Annual Pinnacle Business Awards held November 1 at the Kent Island Resort in Stevensville. Award categories include Leader of Excellence Award, Entrepreneur of the Year, Spirit of Caring Award, Environmental Stewardship Award, Innovative Partnership Award, and Legacy Award.

The nomination process is quick and easy. You can vote for as many categories as you like and self nominations are accepted. All we ask is that you include your nomination's company/organization name and contact and, if time permits, a brief description of why you made your selection.

We thank you for your time and effort as we celebrate
