The first annual Buckeye Lake Pirate Festival will happen on Saturday May 18, 2024. The festival is for Pirates, Steampunks, Mermaids and enthusiasts.

Join us for a day full of family friendly and adult activities all around the Buckeye Lake, Ohio! This event features a Pirate Market Place at "Port Royal" for gathering, shopping and entertainment and a Pirate Treasure Hunt by Land and Sea!

Admission is FREE and open to the public!

Pirate Treasure Hunt

The featured Pirate Fest event will be a Pirate Treasure Hunt by Land and Sea. There will be a Treasure Map with 40 participating businesses. Each business will have a treasure chest valued at least $150.

5000 FREE Treasure maps will be distributed for participants to use to go around the lake stopping where an X marks the location of treasure. Port Royal will be the primary location where maps will be distributed. Port Royal is located at the Harbor Community Center 5312 Walnut Rd, Buckeye Lake, OH 43008

You must be at least 18 years old to register to win a Treasure Chest. The Treasure Chest must be picked up by June 30, 2024.

Explore the Pirate Fest website for details about activities and special events during the Pirate Festival. Registration is open and we’re offering a free Pirate Fest bandana to the first 300 people to register; limited to one per person registered. Bandana winners will be notified via email and may pick it up at the Pirate Marketplace on Saturday, May 18, 2024 between 11 am – 5 pm. We're working on a multitude of events during the Pirate Festival which includes activities for Pirates, Steampunk and Mermaid enthusiasts.

Featuring the Northern Exposure Land Ship: the Guiness Record Holder for the World’s Tallest ‘Arvee’. They sell pirate clothing and décor. They will be docked in front of the Pirate Trade Show.

Port Royal Pirate Marketplace Activities

The Port Royal Pirate Marketplace is a FREE outdoor event show featuring over 60 vendors. Free Family & children (recommended ages 6+) entertainment will be provided throughout the day.

The Pirate Marketplace will be held at Port Royal: located at the Harbor Community Center, Buckeye Lake, Ohio. Port Royal will be our headquarters where we'll distribute free treasure maps. We'll have a Treasure Chest at Port Royal valued at $150+ with special prizes too.
