Election Results Are In

The cut-off date for our election has come and gone, the ballots have been counted and attested and we are excited to announce the winners. As I said last month this was a very strong group of candidates, any of whom would have been great leaders in our Area. It is our hope that those who came in second will continue to serve, working to better our art in their communities.

Our new Chair Elect is Michele (Shelley) Giaier of Bend, OR. Shelly has been active in handbell ringing and directing for many years and has also been active in the governance of other Areas. She moves from the position of Oregon Chair so .... we are looking for an Oregonian to step up to that position.

Our new Secretary is Shosh Meyer, an active ringer and director from Beaverton, OR. Shosh brings experienced secretarial skills to our board as she has been the pastoral secretary at her church for many years. Pre Covid, she has supported many west coast festivals with her time and energy.

Again thank you to David Ramsey-Warner and Julie Hunziker for volunteering to serve as Area officers. We couldn't have had an election without you! And a special note of thanks to Diane Hould, retiring Past Chair and Wendy Goodheart, retiring Secretary. We have enjoyed working with you. Please don't go too far away, we will need your advice.

The 2020 Siskiyou Summit Handbell Conference has been rescheduled for 2021. Tim Waugh will be the conductor and we will be using all the same repertoire from 2020 and offering the same classes plus a couple of others. Watch this space for details later this year.
